Mason Appleton is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Known for his versatile playing style, blending offensive skill with responsible defensive play, Appleton has carved out a significant role in the Jets’ roster.

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but raised in Brandon, Manitoba, Appleton’s hockey journey began in his local minor hockey system. He honed his skills through the ranks, eventually playing junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Tri-City Storm. His performance in the USHL caught the attention of scouts, and he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the sixth round, 168th overall, of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Following his draft, Appleton committed to Michigan State University, where he played college hockey for two seasons. After concluding his sophomore year, Appleton signed an entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets in 2017.
