Pastor Olaf Latzel: A Controversial Figure

Olaf Latzel is a German Reformed pastor who served at the St. Martini Church in Bremen from 2007 until his suspension and eventual dismissal in 2020. These proceedings ultimately resulted in his suspension from his pastoral duties and, later, his dismissal. Latzel’s supporters view him as a courageous defender of traditional Christian values and a victim of persecution for his beliefs. They argue that his words were taken out of context and that he was simply exercising his right to freedom of speech and religious expression.
